Special Course

In addition to our regular course, Ajou University Center for International Education(CIE) operates special courses for TOPIK(Test of Proficiency in Korean), speaking, and one-on-one private tutoring to help international students develop Korean language skills.
In particular, we strongly support students preparing for admission to Ajou University by opening a preliminary university program called "Guide for your successful Ajou Life" once every summer and winter semester to ensure students easily adapt to University life.

TOPIK

The CIE offers complimentary TOPIK special lectures for the CIE students who prepare for the TOPIK(Korean Language Proficiency Test).

For the purpose of international training centre lecture topik, operations, according to the Table to show the contents.
Division Description
Purpose
  • Preparation for TOPIK
  • To provide opportunities for foreign students to enter undergraduate/graduate school and find a job by helping them to obtain high scores in the TOPIK test

  • Schedule: 8 classes and 1 mock test
  • Course level: Beginner or Intermediate (Levels can be changed.)
  • Target: International students of CIE
  • Fee: Free (Textbook will be provided)

Speaking

Private Tutoring

Private tutoring course is a one-on-one customized program for foreigners who want to study Korean but cannot register for the regular course due to work or school classes.

  • To provide 1:1 customized classes to foreigners who have difficulty registering for the regular course due to office hours or students who want to take Korean language classes more intensively

  • Fee: 50,000KRW per hour

Preliminary University Program: Guide to AJOU

The CIE offers students preparing for admission to Ajou University a special program called 'Guide for your successful Ajou Life’ twice a year to support them to easily adapt to university life. Complimentary lectures are given with topics ranging from making Korean friends, registering for classes, using school websites, joining clubs and academic societies, participating team projects, to academic terms, writing email/reports, giving presentations, how to converse with professors and staff, and academic ethics-plagiarism and cheating.
